BECOME A TREE OF LIFE
Proverbs, 11:30
I. Introduction
A. What was the most valuable tree in Eden?
1. Imagine the beauty of the magnificent garden of God
2. Two trees capture our attention
a. One is the tree of knowledge of good and evil (Gn.3 :1-4)
b. The other is the tree of life (Genesis 3:22-24)
B. The tree of life has been transported to heaven (Rev. 22:2)
C. Worldwide, there are errant tree of life (Proverbs 11:30)
1. "The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life"
2. Every Christian should become a tree of life
3. This is a call to evangelize
4. "The righteous are as trees of life and its influence on the earth, as the fruit of that tree, supports and strengthens the spiritual life of many" (Matthew Henry)
II. Meditation
A. We are called to evangelize children
1. Our Lord loves children (Matthew 18:1-6; Mr. 10:13-16)
2. Evangelism to children is an important task
3. Where are those who come to the children?
4. Bring children to Christ often achieves his parents
B. We are called to evangelize the adults
1. There are adults of all kinds and with diverse needs
a. Adults loaded with many problems
b. Adults who may have tears smile almost to the surface
2. Who will seek every day to adults who need Christ?
3. Jesus constantly sought those who were in trouble
a. Nicodemus was religious, but lost (Jn. 3)
b. Zacchaeus was rich, but it was lost (Luke 19)
4. We see the hidden fears after face of people
5. We see the tears hidden behind the smiles of the people
C. We are called to evangelize those who are closer to eternity
1. Life is short, death is certain
2. Sin is the cause, Christ is the cure
3. We must reach those who are about to die (Heb. 9:27)
4. We must communicate the gospel to those who have lost hope
5. We must break our apathy and snatch souls from hell
III. Conclusion
A. The wise evangelize using all possible means
B. Who wants to be a tree of life for someone else today?
1. "This is the result of the burgeoning industry. What the tree of life was in Paradise will be in heaven is the fruit in the desert fertile, nourishing, healing. And indeed, he who wins souls for these means for justice and salvation is truly wise "
2. Those who reach the lost eternal rewards await
