A Coruña City Council is taking out this morning a new eviction in the shantytown of Penamoa. This time, municipal officials are going to demolish six shacks. Given the existence of corrugated asbestos-contaminated, technicians have proceeded first to remove the polluting material, then tear down the shacks.
The first slum demolished was empty, so there was no conflict with the slum dwellers. After an incident has occurred when one of the homeless has set fire to a shanty town and forced firefighters to intervene. The operation is being developed with a large police presence and a group of people protesting on the other side of the Third Round.
