RESISTING IN TIMES LIKE THESE
Luke 21:25-33

IINTRODUCTION
A. What a time to live!
1. A time of prophecy fulfilled.
2. A time of expectation.
3. Open time to proclaim the gospel.
.
B. But there is another perspective of this time
1. The fear is epidemic (v. 26).
2. Fragile marital relations (17:26-27).
3. Declining moral standards (l7 :28-29).
4. But restless hearts full heads (Daniel 12:4).

C. How can persist in a time like this?
.
II. Meditation
A. Realizing the point spray of time (V. 25-30)
1. Signs in nature (vv. 25-26).
2. Signs in the nations (vv. 29-30).
a. Israel as a nation (fig tree). B.
"And all the trees" (nations). C.
Nations prophesied places on the world stage.
3. Technology to monitor global trade (Rev. 13: l7).
4. Just waiting for the return of Christ (Matt. 24:44).
5. The signs should we look up (encourage).

B. Taking advantage of opportunities to witness of Christ (vv. 28, 30, 31)
1. We witness until He returns (Acts 1: 8-11).
2. The return signal should increase our testimony.
3. Enables us to reach others to resist.
4. To serve not we concentrate on our problems.
5. Keep looking up and out until Christ comes.
6. The time is "near" (vv. 28, 30, 31).

C. Being diligent in the devotional life (v. 33)
1. The Word of God resists through times of trouble.
2. We must be diligent in private worship.
a. The Bible builds faith (Rom. 10: l7). B.
The Bible keeps us from sinning (Psalm 119:9-11). C.
We read the Bible and pray every day.
3. We must be diligent in public worship.
a. We need other believers. B.
Particularly in these last days (Heb. 10:25).
4. A strong devotional life brings peace in any storm.
