ETERNAL LOVE WITH GOD THAT ENABLES
1 Corinthians, 13

I. Introduction
A. Thoughts on love
1. Remember the great love of God for us.
2. The cross: the greatest demonstration of God's love.
3. The problem in Corinth: lack of love. Maturity
B. The power of love
1. Love conquers all strife and brings blessings.
2. Love builds communion and faith restored.
3. Love attracts and leads sinners to salvation.

II. Meditation
A. The impotence of the service without love (vv. 1-3)
l. The whole message of the gospel is the great story of God's love.
2. Speak without love is only noise.
a. Regardless of how you speak, you are weak without love.
b. Whatever your words, they are useless without love.
c. Regardless of how sincere you are, you will fail without love.
3. Spiritual gifts without love is simply not anything.
a. The gift of prophecy to know the future.

3. Love does not envy. Jealousy springs to indulge oneself.
4. Love is not boastful. It is not arrogant.
5. Love is not rude. Do not seek its own.
6. Love is not provoked. Do not lose your temper easily.
7. Love thinks no evil. Hardly react badly when they hurt others.
8. Does not delight in evil. Never rejoice at injustice.
9. Rejoices with the truth. Supports all.
10. Believes all things. Instead of searching for minor faults, love, hope for the best.

C. The permanence of love (vv. 8-13)
1. Love never fails. It never becomes obsolete.
2. The prophecies fail.
3. Tongues will cease.
4. Even the special gift of knowledge will disappear.
5. But not love. It will remain.

III. Conclusion
